About the author
I have worked as a professional astrologer since 1997. My work focuses on business astrology, time‑coaching, and experiential astrological travel.
In 1997, together with Timo Laurento, I founded Astro Bar Productions in Helsinki. Over the years, our practice operated in several locations across the city, and in 2003 we opened Huvila Härkä, a summer café and horoscope park in Somero. I have written five books on astrology, contributed numerous articles and taught a wide range of courses and trainings.
In 2000, I co‑founded the Finnish Association of Professional Astrologers, serving as its chair for twelve years. I have also spent a decade as an active member of the International Society of Business Astrologers (ISBA).
What draws me to astrology is its ability to offer a meaningful way of understanding time that traditional methods cannot quite reach. Astrological time, irregular yet patterned, cyclical yet directional, i.e. cyclinear, helps us see the present not merely as a chronological sequence of events, but as a qualitative whole in which the past, the now and future possibilities resonate with one another. It reminds us that time is not a simple linear stream, but a layered, expressive weave where themes return, transform and deepen, i.e. a timescape.
Astrology, then, becomes a language for perceiving these recurring, multi‑layered cycles and rhythms, not as a tool for prediction, but as a map for observation and meaning‑making. When we look at time in a cyclinear way, we begin to notice that the present moment is not an isolated point, but part of a larger arc whose dynamics can be learned and understood. This opens the possibility of relating to one’s own life more dialogically: time can be listened to, and it can be allowed to teach. Yet astrology does not live anyone’s life for them. That meaningful task of living belongs to each of us.
